Our Columbia county centers provide comprehensive early childhood education, health, and nutrition services, tailored to meet the diverse needs of young children. With a focus on creating nurturing and stimulating environments, these centers are dedicated to preparing children for future academic success and fostering their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Additionally, they emphasize strong parent involvement, building a community that actively supports each child’s growth and learning journey.
Early Head Start
Early Head Start provides services for families who are age and income eligible with weekly home visits and socializations for pregnant women, dads and children up to the age of three. Twice monthly socializations offer children and parents an opportunity to engage with others in the community and to have fun!! School readiness begins at birth and follows the child along the continuum of learning. We use a holistic family approach that helps strengthen the family as a unit, while still allowing individual members to succeed. In the three county area of Columbia, Clatsop and Tillamook Counties: We have two home visitors in each county that serve up to 24 families throughout the county. Visits can be done in the home (preferred), in our Head Start/Early Head Start facilities or at a space in the community that works for the family.
